A well-funded, fast-moving AI startup is hiring a Staff Engineer to lead development of its next-generation agentic features. You’ll join a small team building intelligent workflows on top of a popular no-code platform already in use across Fortune 500 data teams.
This role is for experienced engineers who have built and shipped AI agents—not as experiments, but as production features used at scale. You’ll help improve reliability, latency, correctness, and overall quality of multi-agent systems already in active deployment.
What You’ll Do
- Lead development and iteration of AI-powered agents for structured data use cases
- Scale existing prototypes into robust, production-grade systems
- Benchmark reliability and performance, build out eval harnesses
- Collaborate with product and infra teams to prioritize and build
- Stay hands-on in the codebase while guiding broader delivery
What You Bring
- Strong backend and AI agent experience
- Built using frameworks like LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar
- Solid Python development skills; Go, Scala, or Java a plus
- Worked with vector databases, RAG, and cloud microservices
- Able to drive decisions and quality across complex technical projects
- Bonus for experience in code-gen, compiler tooling, or open-source AI

- Python, Go, Scala backend services
- Agent orchestration with LangChain/LlamaIndex/custom tools
- Kubernetes, Docker, serverless infra
- Vector DBs (e.g. Pinecone, Weaviate), graph DBs (e.g. Neo4j)
- Cloud data tools (Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery)
