We are partnering with a fast-scaling AI company transforming how insurance claims are processed. In under a year, the business has reached multi-million ARR, secured significant Series A funding from top-tier investors, and is growing rapidly with strong enterprise demand.
This is an opportunity to join early and build core systems that power autonomous AI agents operating across real-world, high-impact workflows.
The Role
You will design and build backend systems that support advanced AI applications in production. This includes working on infrastructure, APIs, and data systems that enable large-scale processing of complex, multimodal data.
You will operate with a high degree of ownership from day one, contributing to architecture decisions and shipping production code immediately.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and scale backend systems for AI-powered products
- Design and maintain core infrastructure and databases
- Develop APIs and services that support high-throughput production workloads
- Collaborate with engineers working across machine learning, data, and product
- Take ownership of features end to end, from concept through deployment
Tech Stack & Environment
- Python for backend development
- Cloud infrastructure across AWS and GCP
- PostgreSQL and vector databases
- REST and GraphQL APIs
- Containerization using Docker
- Exposure to modern AI tooling including LLMs, RAG pipelines, and multimodal systems
Requirements
- 2+ years of backend engineering experience
- Strong computer science fundamentals and problem-solving ability
- Experience building and shipping production systems
- Familiarity with cloud environments and distributed systems
- High ownership mindset and ability to operate independently
