You're solving challenges that don't exist in traditional software engineering: model drift, data versioning, and real-time inference optimization.
What you’ll do
- Own the full ML lifecycle from idea to production: data prep, training, diagnostics, iteration, deployment, and monitoring
- Collaborate closely with research scientists to choose methods, design experiments, and interpret results
- Build reliable, maintainable production code in Python and modern ML tooling
- Improve workflows and contribute to scaling the lab from 0 to 1 to 100
What you’ll bring
- Strong software engineering foundation and hands-on coding in Python
- Fluency with ML tooling such as NumPy, Pandas, and PyTorch
- Track record of shipping ML systems end-to-end, not just running prebuilt pipelines
- Clear thinking, bias to action, and comfort in a candid, fast-moving environment
Nice to have
- Experience optimizing training loops or performance in PyTorch
- Breadth across classical ML and deep learning
- Prior experience in small, high-ownership teams
Location
NYC. Hybrid collaboration with onsite time for key moments. Exact expectations are tailored to the team’s needs.
