$325,000 Base Salary + $1.5 million equity (RSU 4-year vest + annual refreshers)

Job Summary:
We seek a seasoned technical leader to grow a specialized Machine learning team. You will manage a team of MLEs who build machine-learning models that answer business questions. Typical problems are ranking, recommendation, customer churn, propensity, etc.
An ideal background is Software Engineering, Machine Learning, hands-on work, and team leadership.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in detailed technical design, development, implementation, and support of web stack and machine learning applications
- Collaborate with product management to craft plans and achieve business goals
- Serve as a technical domain expert in machine learning, data processing, and data-serving architectural design decisions
- Develop and review model and application code, ensuring high availability and performance
- Manage high-performing teams and help them reach their highest potential
Requirements:
- 6+ years of industry experience using machine learning to solve real-world problems with large datasets
- Experience leading teams building machine learning-based products
- Excellent coaching, mentoring, and development skills for engineers
- Strong track record of building reliable, high-uptime systems
- Ability to translate business needs into clearly scoped machine learning projects
- Hands-on approach to steering solution design and implementation
- Excitement for new technologies and the ability to evaluate and choose the right tools
