Director of Product – AI for Complex Systems
Location: New York, NY (Hybrid – 3 days/week in office)

We’re working with a well-funded, early-stage AI company that’s building a platform to help engineering teams across highly complex industries detect and resolve critical issues before they escalate.
Their customers operate in environments where system reliability, quality, and risk mitigation are non-negotiable — and where traditional tools for root cause analysis or observability just don’t cut it. This platform ingests massive volumes of unstructured operational data (logs, reports, feedback, sensor streams), and applies machine learning to surface early warning signs and support faster, smarter decisions.
The Opportunity
As Director of Product, you’ll join at a pivotal moment: the product has early traction, a strong technical foundation, and real enterprise customers — but the company is now scaling rapidly and needs senior product leadership to guide new initiatives from zero to one.
You’ll work directly with the executive team and lead key efforts to define, validate, and build out new product lines that extend the platform’s impact. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in ambiguity, loves shipping useful tools, and knows how to balance execution with long-term product vision.
What You'll Do
- Own the full lifecycle for one or more new product verticals — from concept to MVP to scale
- Work closely with engineering, data, design, and enterprise users to deeply understand needs and design elegant, impactful solutions
- Build and scale internal product processes — roadmapping, discovery, validation, execution
- Collaborate directly with company leadership to help shape go-to-market strategy, pricing, and positioning
- Serve as a mentor and strategic peer to the broader product team, helping raise the bar across execution and product thinking
About You
- 6–10+ years of product management experience, including launching and scaling data- or ML-driven products
- Strong track record of 0-to-1 product development in fast-paced or startup environments
- Able to move fluidly between technical depth and business outcomes
- Experience working directly with enterprise customers, engineers, and data scientists
- Excellent communicator and cross-functional leader
- Comfortable owning ambiguity and carving structure out of it
- Bonus: experience in verticals like manufacturing, logistics, enterprise software, or applied ML
