Join a fast-moving startup building tools that accelerate research and scientific discovery. We’re looking for a senior data engineer to own our pipelines end-to-end—from ingest to transformation to search—and help scale our data infrastructure to support a growing set of formats and enterprise use cases.
What You’ll Do
- Own and evolve the data pipeline that powers our research product.
- Ingest and transform diverse document types (scientific papers, SEC filings, patents, etc.)
- Collaborate with engineering and product to unlock new features and user workflows
- Drive architecture decisions for ingestion, transformation, storage, and serving
- Expand our ability to ingest private corpuses securely for enterprise customers
- Measure and improve reliability, cost, and performance across the data stack
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of data engineering experience, ideally in startup environments
- Strong Python, Spark, and SQL skills
- Familiarity with orchestration tools like Flyte or Airflow
- Experience working with columnar formats like Parquet
- Product-oriented mindset—you think in terms of impact, not just systems
- Bonus: background in research, science, or AI/ML infrastructure

- Data stored in Parquet, orchestrated via Kubernetes
- Backend services in Node and Python
- You’ll work closely with full-stack engineers, ML researchers, and product design
