Autonomous revenue intelligence platform
We are working with a high-growth SaaS company building the next generation of AI-driven revenue optimization software for a large global industry. The business already has strong customer adoption, deep domain data and significant investment behind its next phase of product evolution.
This is a senior leadership opportunity for someone who has built production machine learning systems that make real decisions for customers. The company is moving beyond forecasting and recommendations into autonomous decisioning, where models increasingly power pricing, profit and operational outcomes directly inside the product.
The Opportunity
You will lead the data science function across applied science, analytics, ML platform and research. The mandate is to define and build the intelligence layer that moves the product from heuristic-based workflows into ML-powered, automated decision systems.
This is not a reporting or dashboarding leadership role. The right person will have owned models that sit inside the product, affect customer outcomes and carry real production accountability.
What You’ll Own
• Lead the strategy for production ML systems across pricing, forecasting, optimization and automated decisioning.
Build the roadmap for moving from human-reviewed recommendations toward trusted autonomous execution.
• Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team across applied science, analytics, ML platform and research.
• Partner closely with Product, Engineering and executive leadership on product strategy, customer trust and commercialization.
• Set the scientific bar for experimentation, model evaluation, production monitoring and decision quality.
• Shape how data science works with product teams, platform teams and senior stakeholders.
What We’re Looking For
• Senior leadership experience across applied science, machine learning or production data science.
• A background building ML systems that make decisions for external customers, not just models that produce internal insights.
• Strong understanding of pricing, forecasting, optimization under uncertainty, marketplace systems, recommender systems or other decisioning environments.
• Experience owning the full model lifecycle, including deployment, monitoring, retraining, serving and production failure management.
• Ability to lead PhD-level researchers and applied practitioners with real scientific credibility.
• Strong cross-functional influence across Product, Engineering, Analytics and executive stakeholders.
Experience in hospitality is not required. Relevant backgrounds may include marketplaces, travel, advertising technology, ecommerce, delivery, financial technology, revenue management or large-scale optimization systems.
Tech Stack & Environment
This role sits in a production ML and applied science environment, not a traditional analytics function. The team is focused on pricing models, forecasting systems, ML platform capability, experimentation, model monitoring, agentic workflows and autonomous decisioning.
You should be comfortable discussing model serving, feature pipelines, retraining, drift, latency, performance metrics and the practical tradeoffs required to move ML from research into customer-facing production systems.
Why This Role
This is a rare opportunity to lead the scientific direction of a software business at a pivotal point in its evolution. The company has customers, data, executive support and a clear mandate to make AI central to the product.
You will not be maintaining a finished system. You will be setting the vision, building the team and shaping how intelligent automation becomes part of the core customer experience.
