Now Hiring: Cloud & Data Engineers for Elite AI Startup (Fully Remote, US-Based)

People in AI is hiring on behalf of a cutting-edge, profitable AI startup with fewer than 25 engineers and a valuation nearing $1B. Backed by significant funding and rapid traction, this company is building next-gen infrastructure to support advanced ML and data products. We're helping them grow their engineering team with 2–3 foundational hires across infrastructure and data.

1. Cloud Engineer

2. Data Engineer

What We're Looking For:

1. Cloud Engineer Profile:

• Strong software-first mindset with backend fundamentals

• Hands-on experience designing and managing cloud infrastructure (Azure preferred)

• Familiarity with Terraform, CI/CD (GitHub Actions, CircleCI, Jenkins), Kubernetes

• Comfortable with secure credential management, cloud security best practices, and system reliability

• Python proficiency preferred

2. Data Engineer Profile:

• Expertise in building and orchestrating large-scale data pipelines

• Experience with tools like Spark, Databricks, Airflow, or Temporal

• Strong understanding of ETL, streaming data systems, and real-time vs. batch processing

• Ability to collaborate closely with ML engineers and translate data into production-grade pipelines

Ideal Candidate Qualities:

• Scrappy, autonomous, and comfortable owning critical systems independently

• Comfortable operating in a lean, fast-paced, startup environment

• Able to clearly articulate technical impact, ownership, and outcomes

• Bonus: experience working across both startups and larger tech companies

• Excited by opportunities to shape infrastructure, design systems, and work directly with ML teams

Compensation & Perks:

• Base salary: $225K+

• Significant equity with real upside in a fast-growing, high-valuation company

• Fully remote (US only) with optional access to premium office spaces (e.g., SF, NYC)
