We are partnering with a leading defense technology company that is transforming how national security organizations use data and artificial intelligence to make strategic decisions.
The company builds advanced software platforms used across the U.S. defense ecosystem. Their products combine large-scale proprietary data with machine learning and AI systems to support faster and more informed decisions across supply chain planning, logistics, technology development, and defense modernization programs.
They are hiring a Forward Deployed Senior Data Scientist to help design and deploy AI systems that solve complex real-world problems in the defense space.
Responsibilities
Design and develop AI and machine learning systems that address complex operational and analytical challenges
Work with large proprietary and commercial datasets to identify patterns, generate insights, and build predictive models
Lead the full lifecycle of AI projects from research and experimentation through production deployment
Build scalable AI platforms that support mission-critical applications
Collaborate closely with research, data engineering, and software teams to integrate models into production systems
Develop evaluation frameworks for AI systems including large language models and reasoning-based systems
Mentor team members and contribute to technical best practices across the organization
Tech Stack and Environment
Artificial intelligence and machine learning platforms
Large language models and agent-based systems
Cloud infrastructure such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
Production ML pipelines and MLOps tooling
Large-scale structured and unstructured datasets
Requirements
Strong background in machine learning, data science, or artificial intelligence
Experience building and deploying production-grade AI or ML systems
Hands-on experience working with modern AI technologies such as large language models
Strong software engineering and system design skills
Ability to work cross-functionally with research, engineering, and product teams
U.S. Citizenship required due to the nature of the work
