Our client is seeking a Director of Machine Learning to lead a talented team of engineers and spearhead cutting-edge solutions in full-stack recommendation engines and advanced data science initiatives.
As the Director of Machine Learning, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the company's AI strategy, managing a dynamic team, and collaborating across departments to deliver technologies that propel the business forward.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Mentorship: Lead, mentor, and inspire a small team of Machine Learning Engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Strategic Planning: Define and implement the machine learning roadmap in alignment with business objectives and market opportunities.
- Model Development: Oversee the development, training, and deployment of machine learning models that drive significant business impact.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with software engineers, data scientists, and product managers to design and implement practical, scalable solutions.
- MLOps Implementation: Champion best practices in MLOps to streamline model development, deployment, and monitoring processes.
- Data Analysis: Analyze complex datasets to uncover actionable insights and identify new opportunities for efficiency and growth.
- Innovation & Trends: Stay abreast of the latest advancements in machine learning and data science to integrate cutting-edge techniques into the team's workflow.
Requirements:
- Educational Background: Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Leadership Experience: Proven experience in a leadership role within machine learning or data science teams.
- Technical Proficiency: Expert knowledge of Python and Scala, with hands-on experience using frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, and scikit-learn.
- Domain Expertise: Extensive experience with full-stack recommendation engines and deploying machine learning models in production environments.
- Analytical Skills: Strong data analysis and visualization capabilities.
- Strategic Vision: Ability to align machine learning initiatives with business goals and demonstrate measurable ROI.
- Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
