Senior Engineering Manager, Multimodal AI
Compensation: $220,000 - $250,000 base + equity
Location: San Francisco Bay Area, hybrid (2–3 days/week in office)

The Role
You'll lead the engineering team behind the core multimodal user experience - building the high-interaction tools customers use daily to label and evaluate data. This work is central to platform adoption, throughput, and long-term scalability. Reporting into senior technical leadership, you’ll own execution, direction, and people leadership for a frontend-leaning product engineering team working at the intersection of AI systems and user experience.
What You’ll Do
- Lead a high-impact team in building multimodal labeling and evaluation tools
- Drive sprint planning, technical delivery, and execution quality
- Guide architecture decisions across a frontend-heavy stack
- Partner with product, platform, and AI teams to deliver on roadmap priorities
- Mentor and grow engineers, supporting team development and hiring
- Enable AI-assisted workflows and rubric-driven evaluation tools
What You’ll Bring
- Proven experience leading and scaling high-performing engineering teams
- Technical depth in React and TypeScript, with strong full-stack judgment
- Ability to steer architecture across Node.js and Python services
- Familiarity with applied AI concepts (e.g. model eval, prompt design, LLM workflows)
